I have a MID term test from my Lecturer today. I have to answer some questions and upload it in my blog. The questions are:

Answer:
3 3. Computer
provided by hardware that equipped the work of computer, there are some

Internal Hardware
a. The
Motherboard
The motherboard is a
printed circuit board that houses most, if not all of the internal components.
These include the Central Processor and the Memory cards.
b. The
Processor
The processor is a
computer chip that carries out instructions given by computer programs and
handles all the day to day tasks that a PC has to do.
c. RAM
RAM is a type of
temporary computer data storage. It deals with temporary data requests such as
keeping windows open on a desktop or just viewing a file.
d. The
Hard Disk
The Hard Disk drive is
a type of permanent computer data storage. Data is retrieved by using a series
of rapidly spinning magnetic disks that store the data.
e. CD
ROM Drive
A CD Rom drive is a
drive that reads compact discs only, but now expands to DVDs as well.
f. Power
Supply
The Power Supply unit
is a switch operated unit that converts mains AC electricity into DC
electricity that powers all the internal components.
g. Power
Cable
These cables are
connected to the Power Supply Unit and cables that look like this power the
motherboard and is the largest connector found on a PC’s motherboard. Without
these, the computer would not work, so are an essential internal component.
h. Fan
A fan inside a computer
is a fan that sucks cool air into the PC case and blows hot air out of the case
and stops any key components overheating. This is an essential part of a
computer’s cooling system.

Graphic Card
The graphics card is a
type of expansion card that processes and produces outputs for displays.
j.
Solid State Drives (SSD)
Solid State Drives are drives that
have no actual mechanical parts and are a form of computer data storage.
External
Hardware:
a. Monitor
The monitor is the
display for a PC. This is where anything you can see is displayed. Monitors
vary in size and use LCD screens for better quality.
b. Keyboard
The keyboard is the
main way of typing on a PC. When typed, each key produces a letter on the
screen.
c. Mouse
The mouse is the
primary way of navigating a computer. The mouse used to have a ball that could
move in any direction.
d. Printer
The printer is computer
hardware that will print anything written or created on a PC onto paper,
whether it is text or photos.
e. Computer
Casing
The computer casing is
the housing for all the internal components of the PC. These are usually made
from steel because they need to be durable.
4. Computer
software I need for teaching English in the classroom such as computer software
that can enhance students’ proficiency in language learning and improve the
ability in English skills such as reading, listening, writing, speaking skills,
grammar, spelling, pronunciation software, etc. for example dictionary
software, fun games software for English teaching such as slow click vocabulary
games, Ginger Spell and Grammar Checker
for Spelling and Grammar checker, mySpellingGenie for English dictionary
spelling, or maybe there is a software which has completed with the 4 skills of
English, grammar, pronunciation, dictionary, and spelling just in one software.
5 5. - CALL
is Computer Assisted Language Learning that offers the aspect of educational,
programs, resources, software, journals, organizations, software tutorials
including all types of exercises for grammar drills, vocabulary, listening and
pronunciation exercises, games, etc. for teaching language in classroom. This
approach related to multimedia computers and the Internet that combine text,
graphics, sound, animation and video. Students use a computer for a useful
device which enables them to be close to the world such as the Internet and WWW
are very motivating, offering a wide range of material and new learning
strategies. Students also can create their own web sites or projects, according
to their individual needs, inside and outside the classroom; using e-mails,
articles, class-conferencing, etc.
- MALL
is Mobile Assisted Learning, it is device beside computer that can be used to
teach the English learning material by the students in effective ways. So, Mobile
Assisted Learning is a way in learning language from the mobile devices which can
be operate in three main operational systems, such as Apple iOS, Android,
Windows phone. the studies of using mobile device in learning English in
classroom is called MALL, Mobile Assisted Language Learning.
The
main function of edtech for teaching English language:
a.
A tool for teacher to enhance the
teaching and learning experience.
b. It available in many purposes of EFL
class, such as Listening, Voice recognition, Pronunciation checking,
Monolingual dictionaries, e-Vocabulary book (Lexical Book),qr code readers,
e-flashcards, etc.
c.
As a tool for students in learning in
the classroom.
d.
It is effective tool for students in
learning English language outside classroom.
e.
Enhance the accessibility of content for
impaired students how to use the application.
f.
Give the students feedback.
